In 2004 two sisters, Juvena and Jeri Tan, fuelled by their passion in graphics design, ventured into the design and print industry, thus Graphics Avenue was born. Initially a small-scale graphic printer in Bras Basah Complex, the company under them gradually expanded into a crew of designer and sales staff with over two decades of relevant professional expertise, with modern facilities. “To provide graphics design service and quality print solutions for better value at reasonable prices.” explained Juvena.

The company now offers comprehensive design services like Corporate Identity, Marketing Collaterals, Packaging, and print services including Digital, Offset and Large Format Print. Its clients are drawn from various industries including automotive, education, medical and hospitality. Backed by their state-of-the-art printing facilities and well-trained staff, the enterprising sisters are determined to push themselves to a higher level of entrepreneurship.

In 2009, they took a step forward by moving their production office to a flatted factory space at Kallang Place while retaining a 300 sq ft retail unit Colours Alive! at Bras Basah Complex. Subsequently, they branched out with a graphics design company in Xiamen, China last year. “We designed and conceptualized brand identities for them and also prepared concept synopses in English, for their international clients.” said Jeri. This year, the company also launched its website www.graphicsavenue.com.sg for creating brand awareness and disseminating infomation.

Both sisters hold a Diploma in this field. Juvena also obtained a BA in Mass Communication, while into her first job previously in another company. Ardent life -long learners, they constantly keep pace with new technologies and skills through short courses and workshops.

“Despite early struggles, we learnt on-the-job and progressed! Our target has always been to grow big, but gradually, through hard work, there being no short cut to success,” exulted Jeri. Helping them quietly are their parents, pillars of strength and inspirational leaders in adverse times, anxious to see their daughters succeed in life.

“Our target has always been to grow big, but gradually, incrementally, step-by-step, to lay the groundwork for greater opportunities. We knew that we had to work hard, there being no short cut to success.”
